Getting to Ascot by Train

South West Trains run a very frequent service to Ascot from both Reading, Guildford and London Waterloo and this is increased during Royal Ascot week. On average, the journey time is approx 27 minutes from Reading, 52 minutes from London Waterloo.

Once at Ascot train station, there is a public house next to the station that many racegoers use. During Royal Ascot week there are live bands and BBQ’s at the pub too.

The railway station is less than a 10-minute walk from the racecourse – through a wide alleyway that backs onto one of the many Ascot car parks that you can see people having a picnic out of their cars from.

The end of the railway alleyway opens up on the main road right outside the main Ascot racecourse stand.

Getting to Ascot by Air

There is a helicopter landing facility close to the racecourse. It is not suitable for fixed-wing private aircrafts. For those, there are two airfields close by at Cobham and Maidenhead.
